- Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint and condition of the patient
- Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician
- Provide high-quality patient care.
- Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed in a timely fashion
- Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment
- nstitute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
- Analyze and interpret lab studies and reports
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
- Confident in suturing, splinting, minor office procedures, x-ray reads, treating all ages
- DOT Certification, preferred. If not DOT-certified, applicant willing to become DOT certified (employer will pay for training)
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
- Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania and unrestricted DEA certification
- Able to multi-task and work independently
